Young Thug will now be naming his new mixtape “Tha Barter VI”.
After exchanging some choice words with his idol Lil Wayne these past couple weeks, it looks like Young Thug is now backing down from naming his new mixtape Tha Carter 6.
Taking to his Instagram Monday night, Thugger announced that he’s changing the title from Tha Carter VI to Tha Barter VI (a blood reference) because someone is suing him over the original title. He didn’t reveal who’s suing him, but the first thing that comes to mind is either Weezy or Young Money, so who really knows.
“Can’t name the mixtape Carter VI, cause these fuck ass niggas trying to sue…just like some hoes,” – Thugger
The project is led by the single “Check” and is expected to be dropping later this week on the 17th. Don’t be surprised if the project sees a setback though due to this new name change.
