Female Dancehall artiste Ishawna released a new single titled “Restraining Order” 2 days ago, and since its release a number of persons have labelled it as a diss song, aimed at her former fiancé, Foota Hype. The Zee caught up with Foota Hype, who had this to say.
In recent weeks, after Ishawna announced that she had parted ways with Foota Hype, despite being together for almost a decade and being parents of a son, there were reports that the artiste was seeking to file a restraining order against the selector. Other reports claimed that he was allegedly stalking his ex.

Bolt threatens to call van Gaal if Man U loses this Sunday
Usain Bolt says he will have to give new Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal a call if the Premier League giants lose a second consecutive league game when they face Sunderland this weekend.
The world’s fastest man is gearing up for a 100m race in Poland on Saturday, but he will no doubt be paying close attention to United’s trip to the Stadium of Light on Sunday, where they will be looking to bounce back from last weekend’s home loss to Swansea.
It was United’s first league opening-day loss since 1976, and the six – time Olympic gold medallist and double world record holder – a long time Manchester United fan – says he isn’t getting too worried just yet, but may be forced to give the gaffer a ring if his beloved ‘Red Devils’ lose to Sunderland in their next game.
“I haven’t spoken to him (van Gaal) yet,” Bolt said yesterday at a press event in the build-up to his appearance at the LOTTO Kamila Skolimowska’s Memorial.
“The first game he lost, so I am giving him some time, and I’ll wait to see on Sunday if he does better; but if he doesn’t, I’ll probably need to give him a call.,” Bolt laughed.
Bolt, a personal friend of legendary United manager Sir Alex Ferguson, who retired at the end of the 2012 – 2013 season, has certainly not been shy to express his thoughts on his team.
Bolt famously demanded that midfield reinforcements be signed last season in a video message to Ferguson’s replacement David Moyes. He has also been hosted by the club on several occasions and was at Old Trafford parading his gold medals after the 2012 Olympic Games.

Brand new Atlantic Records signee, Krishane. Originating from Jamaica, the 20-year-old is set to release his debut single ‘Drunk & Incapable’ on 12 October. Following its first radio play on Mista Jam’s show on Radio 1xtra last night, the upbeat smash fuses pop with a taste of his Jamaican roots.
‘Kisses For Breakfast’ singing sensation, Melissa Steel, lends her vocals to the call and response based track presenting influences of dancehall. “Working with Melissa has been amazing. She has a great vibe and I love that. I’m looking forward to shooting the video with her out in Jamaica.”
“The song came so naturally from playing around in the studio,” Krishane said of the Bless Beats produced track. “Once it was finished, I knew it had to be the first single. Musically, there’s nothing else like it out at the moment. It reflects me and where I’m from.”
Being the son of veteran reggae singer Barrington Levy, Krishane grew up in a world of music in his hometown of Manchester, Jamaica. With that passion he started writing and singing from a young age before uprooting to London two years ago to pursue a career in music.
As well as Bless Beats (Wiley and Jess Glynne), Krishane has been recording with a number of key producers including Michael Angelo (Maverick Sabre, Ella Eyre, Sam Smith and Tinie Tempah) and Will Simms (Girls Generation, Ayah Marar and Sean Kingston) to name just few. Many of which are already saying he is one of the most original and talented recording artists they have ever worked with.

In May, massive floods in Bosnia unearthed previously undiscovered mass graves from the 1992-95 Balkan conflict. The waters also moved potentially thousands of landmines from known locations to… well, nobody knows for sure.

Her godmother called her ‘Queenie’ because she believed that she was going to rule. But what’s a reign without its challenges? Nackesha Doyley conquered the odds and is queen of her growing empire. She was the ninth of 10 children to a single mother, but grew up with only six of her siblings. She was a stubborn and exploratory child.
At the age of 13 she was pregnant with her first and only child, Christina Chang.
She could not explain how she felt at that moment, but she knew motherhood was not something she was ready for.
“I can’t even explain the feeling I had when I found out that I was pregnant. I was in second form and should be studying, but I was pregnant,” Doyley recalled.

She was not sure what she was supposed to do next, so instead of asking for help, she kept it as a secret for as long as she could. However, her mother eventually noticed and took her to a doctor where she got confirmation.
Her mother decided to give her a second chance at being a teenager, telling her that she would raise the child, with her, but if she had another she would be on her own. However, Doyley did not graciously accept her mother’s generosity. Instead, by the age of 14, she was on her own. She ran away from home and moved in with friends. She worked at a bar to get the money that she needed to go to school.
Two years into this lifestyle – visiting her child and disappearing again became exhausting to her. Her mother was unable to keep track of her, and she started to realise that this was not the lifestyle that she wanted for herself or her daughter.
“I did not want this kind of life for my daughter. I did not want her to grow up seeing her mother as the person that I was, so I decided to return home,” said Doyley.
The best comparison of her return home was the story of the prodigal son. Her mother took her in with open arms and Doyley never turned back. She finished her secondary education at Tacius Golding High School with exemplary grades.
After high school, Doyley was about to move again. This time she was not trying to run away from something, she was starting a new chapter. She was recruited by Winston ‘Bello’ Bell to work at Newstalk 93FM. It was then that she discovered her passion for music. She had always wanted to be a teacher or a nurse, but her experience at Newstalk made her realise that the music industry was where she really wanted and needed to be.
In September of 2011, Doyley started MIA (Music Industry Achiever) Production and in collaboration with that, the MIA Awards. According to Doyley, she could not sing or DJ, so she had to do something behind the scenes and her agency which does public relations, video directing and event planning is one that keeps her very fulfilled. She also started the awards because she believed that there were entertainers out there that did not get the credit that they deserved so she wanted to reward them for their efforts.
This was not easy to get started. She had a few ‘what am I doing?’ moments, but she managed to push through even when her very friends were obstacles in her way.
“I gave up at one point. It was hard, and then when the people around you were the ones trying to tear you down, it was difficult. I packed up and returned home,” said Doyley. She even went on to study practical nursing at Career Academics. But this was no longer her dream and she had to put on an extra backbone and return to her true love.

Though MIA has a far way to go, she has no intention of stopping and is proud of her accomplishments thus far. She is also furthering her education in media and communication at the Caribbean Institute of Media and Communication. This is truly important to her.
“I would tell young girls that it is not about the hype. I know what it is to be into the clothes and all that, but those things can always leave you. A good education is all you need to be successful, and once you have that, you can make it,” Doyley told Flair.
She especially believes that teenage mothers should not give up and become another statistic, “You can make it. Pregnancy is not the end of your life. I remember thinking that; and it is hard, but it is not impossible. They should try to not have another one before 20, but they can work hard and make it. I did it and it was hard, but it is rewarding.”

Mexico’s notoriously violent drug cartels are diversifying. Besides trafficking narcotics, extorting businesses, and brutally murdering their rivals, cartels are now at work exploiting their country’s precious number one export: oil.
Every day as many as 10,000 barrels of crude oil are stolen from Mexico’s state-run oil company, Pemex, through precarious illegal taps, which are prone to deadly accidents. Pemex estimates that it loses $5 billion annually in stolen oil, some of which ends up being sold over the border in US gas stations. As police fight the thieves, and the cartels fight each other, the number of victims caught in the battle for the pipelines continues to climb.

Where are you from?
Born and raised in sweet Trinidad.
Describe all the entrepreneurial hats that you wear. Which is your favourite?
I am a freelance journalist and have been in the media industry for the past 11 years. I started my career in television at Trinidad and Tobago Television (TTT) as a trainee/junior reporter. I then worked in radio at WMJX 100.5FM as a senior news editor/ announcer and then at The Trinidad Guardian Newspaper as a Senior Features Reporter. I have since won several awards for my stories. I write features, news, news features and business articles; as well as bios and promotional articles for artistes and up and coming entrepreneurs…..I dabble in everything really as I am a well rounded writer. I also do articles for various local, regional and international magazines. I am a voice talent for radio and television advertisements. During my 2 year foray as a freelancer, I have covered assignments overseas in St Maarten, Jamaica and Miami. My own media company – What’s Trending Media and Marketing Company – is also in the works.
Although each experience has its pros and cons my favourite is probably print media because writing is my passion.
What inspired you to become a journalist?
It’s kinda weird because growing up I wanted to be a lawyer or psychologist. The media sort of happened to me, but I realized a long time ago that it is exactly what I was meant to do. I cannot see myself doing an 8 to 4. God makes no mistakes.
You said you have been to St.Maarten and how it reminds you of HOME, how so?
Yes. I visited St Maarten for the first time two years ago to work as a media specialist alongside my friend and Bahamian freelance journalist, Inderia Saunders, to help coordinate and launch the very first technology center in the island called Computech. It was a great experience and I loved every minute of it. St Maarten has such a Trini vibe to it – From the warmth and friendliness of the people who you meet casually in the street, to the delicious food. I visited both the French and Dutch sides…but I must say the Dutch part of the island is my favourite.
“IF YOU DON’T TAKE RISKS, YOU WILL ALWAYS WORK FOR SOMEONE WHO DOES” What risks have you taken in your career that has placed you in a more successful position?
Life is all about taking risks… My biggest risk, thus far was leaving the Trinidad Guardian after 4 plus years to go it alone as a freelancer. At the Guardian (as it’s commonly called) I wrote on a myriad of topics including fashion, music, health and human interest. However, I felt the urge to do more to realise my full potential. Leaving a permanent job where my salary is sure at the end of the month was deemed ‘crazy’ by some of my peers but I did it anyway. I have learnt a lot. I have no regrets.

You have stated that you loved interviewing Chris Brown, Lionel Richie, Maxi Priest and TNT HEART THROBS Kes and The Band, who haven’t you enjoyed interviewing and why?
I have interviewed so many local, regional and international personalities – some are very pleasant, others not so much. If I had to choose one person I didn’t enjoy interviewing would be Keyshia Cole. I covered her concert in Trinidad a few years ago and I went backstage to ask her some questions for my story and she wasn’t very accommodating. I don’t know, maybe she was tired or something??
What is your PERFECT “Lime”?
This always comes as a shock to many people, but I’m not a party person at all. I have covered so many events and fetes as a features reporter, but that’s just me doing my job. I prefer more laid back limes actually. My perfect lime will be anywhere with my close (crazy) friends just having fun with lots of laughter. I always say the company trumps the venue. Oh! And somewhere with plenty nice food…I love to eat!
