Taliba Morgan Releases Children"s Book "Lizzy and the Magic Coat"
Esteemed author Taliba Morgan, daughter of Jamaica’s legendary Reggae pioneer Denroy Morgan and sister to Morgan Heritage, world-renowned Reggae band has released the whimsical children’s book “Lizzy and the Magic Coat: Sweet Sweet Dreams”.
The book series tells of the adventures of a curious young girl who is a wizard in training. While Lizzy dreams, she goes on magical journeys to far-away places where she encounters all kinds of delightful characters to convey important life’s lessons. In this story “Sweet Sweet Dreams”, Lizzy will learn her first life lesson that will change her perception on the importance of listening.
“I created this story sometime after my mother died. She died when i was 9 years old and she was gifted a fur coat for me and i hated to wear it…However when she died i would wish that the coat would take me to her. I never thought i would make it through without her. So when i was 13 i wrote my first short book “Me and my Fur Coat” and Now that i am a mom and have my own daughter and have experienced a mothers love, I have now evolved the title to “Lizzy and the Magic Coat”. The character is named after my daughter Elizabeth.”

Reading books aloud to children stimulates their imagination and expands their understanding of the world. About the author Taliba Morgan
Taliba Morgan is the daughter of Jamaica’s legendary Reggae pioneer Denroy Morgan and sister to Morgan Heritage, world-renowned Reggae band. The Morgan family migrated to the United States from Jamaica where their legacy remains deeply rooted. Taliba’s interest in entertainment and her natural talent was nurtured at a young age through extensive training in tap dance, ballet, and drama while acting in school plays. Her father believed in her talent and ability and enrolled her in the TADA Theater School in New York City where she excelled beyond expectation. Later, she enrolled in St. John’s University in New York and majored in Communications, Film and Television and is currently studying Dental Hygiene at New York University. Taliba’s hands on experienced began while working as a Production Assistant with Director Jesse Smith on the set for Morgan Heritage and the Dark Side’s music videos. In addition, Taliba co-created and produced a reality television show pilot with Ron DeVoe of the world-renowned R&B group New Edition.
Taliba Morgan continues to write captivating works that explore exciting new stories in classic genres. She’s already penned her first thriller, action packed suspense-fantasy films, and children’s book series that’s more than magical. The action-packed thriller titled Rock-A-Dundee Road is a seat-gripping thriller that follows four young people on an adventurous journey that goes terribly wrong. Taliba is very proud of her first children’s book series titled Lizzy and the Magic Coat. Lizzy and The Magic Coat is a charming story about a curious young girl who is a wizard in training. Education and literacy is a major concern for Taliba as she recognizes that there is a gap in literacy awareness; especially within under-developed communities. To help increase literacy awareness she not only penned the fun filled stories of Lizzy and the Magic Coat, she plans to donate numerous copies of the book to organizations, charities, and schools. To help fund this donation effort Taliba has organized the Dream 1,000 Campaign.
The Dream 1,000 campaign builds awareness in literacy through partnerships with education centered charities and schools in under-developed communities. The first endeavor is a donation of 1,000 copies of Lizzy and the Magic Coat to schools, community based organizations, and charities based in Taliba Morgan’s hometown of New York City. Taliba aims to enlist major corporations to raise funds to get children back packs with tools to be a success in school like pencils, pens, note books and scientific calculators.

Reggae Boyz in good form... Beats Cuba 3-0
Jamaica’s Reggae Boyz made it five wins in a row after cruising to an easy 3-0 win over Caribbean neighbours Cuba in a friendly international at the Montego Bay Sports Complex on Monday night.
After a tough 2-1 win over Venezuela on Friday at the same venue, the Reggae Boyz quickly opened up a 2-0 in the first four minutes with goals from Romeo Parkes and Daniel Gordon, before tDarren Mattocks made it 3-0 in the 30th minute.
Parkes powered home from a rebound past Cuba’s goalkeeper Alejandro Guerra then Gordon nodded home from close range and Mattocks also scored from a header.
Jamaica created a number of other chances, the best of which was a diving headers by Mattocks early in the second half.

It is a story about showbiz, music, and three women that are in the chase to regain their lost fame and fortune. Probably you didn’t expect that, so give this intriguing book a chance, as you might enjoy the story that happens in the backstage.
Hezbollah is a band, and the story is about the relationships and intrigues that are created between band members, producers, managers, and all the people involved in the business. It is a crazy world, as the author describes it right from the first lines. He starts the book straight, without any previous introduction, and placed the reader right in the middle of a scene. But the showbiz is exactly like this, fast, shocking, with quick turnarounds and agitated. Just like the character presented in the first scene, who forgot about his lunch meeting, because he got caught up in his work at the studio. And now, he was rushing to be still able to find his partner at the dining place.
The three stars of this novel, Tina Rivera, Isabel Carmona and Deborah Munson, are the main characters that make the action revolve in this book. They are presented in different stages of their lives and how, eventually, remembering about their glorious days on stage, they will try to catch the last train towards fame. But in showbiz, a band is nothing without a proper producer. In the case of these three ladies, J.C. “Continental” Lincoln is the name of the man that made the band what it was. But even though he met success, life was harsh on him, now being in the terminal phase of AIDS, as his life was soon going to end. So he wants to throw one last major show with the band he created.
The world had changed since the days the group was high on the wave. Today, the musical world was dominated by a different generation of artists. So the band members, who were now twenty years older, as afraid of what will be the reaction of the public. But, the need for money, as they encountered shortage, will make them search for their last strengths. The band sounds great in the studio, but will they make in living on stage? So let yourself be captive in a world so less known by us, the ordinary music enthusiast. Get to see the story from the inside of what a band means and how rough the entertainment business can be. It is not a book that focuses only on music and band history, but the stories about the people that made the band exist. And these are the stories we always get to know little about. Thus, this book with a modern approach, lets us throw an eye behind the thick curtains.

AlanDon was born Alan Lynfatt in “Waterhouse” Kingston, Jamaica. His Dominant persona and charismatic attitude earned him the nickname AlanDon. As a youth everyone always referred to him as the “DON” (Nobility) thus his first name Alan was combined with Don to form his Monikeer “AlanDon”.
AlanDon later emigrated to America and settled in Hartford, Connecticut. His entertainment career began as a dancer with Bill Blacks. However that was short lived and AlanDon decided that entertaining people as an artist was more suitable for him. He began traveling to the studio and shows with one of Connecticut’s most notable artists, Gucci Flava. When Gucci Flava relocated back to Jamaica this event had a profound affect on AlanDon because Gucci was like a brother. AlanDon was able to find inspiration in recording music.
AlanDon has gained a lot of local support since being in the music business. He credits Earth Ruler Music Lab, Creepa Productions, RisingStarsTV.Net, local sound systems (Supa Hype), local radio stations (Busy Radio & Energy Radio), The Krime Scene Family and whole Hartford Community for supporting him. Since being in the business he has performed on the same stage with the likes of Beenieman, Bounty Killer, Jah Vinci, Mavado, Tarrus Riley & King Yellowman. In early March, while the world was watching Iraqi government forces advance on the Islamic State (IS) in Tikrit, IS was launching a series of assaults on what little remains of the Government-held parts of the provincial capital, Ramadi, which has been under siege for over a year.
On the morning of 11 March alone — the first day VICE News spent in Ramadi — nearly two dozen IS car bombs were detonated, killing 10 and injuring 60.
In a series of interviews, Iraqi officials told VICE News that they fear Islamic State fighters will overrun what remains of Government-held Ramadi if the US did not intervene with air support. According to police in Ramadi, more than 2,000 officers have been killed since January 2014, when the Islamic State — then known mainly as ISIS or ISIL — first announced its presence in the city.

Lutan Fyah – More Blessings (EP Release)
“More Blessings” is the title of the latest studio record from Lutan Fyah in association with Payday Music. The 7-tracks EP deals with life situations reaching topics like ghetto living, poverty or unity . This is the first project coming out of Payday Music‘s table this year and more will follow for sure.

Nick Cannon"s movie to feature 10-year-old Jamaican actress
Ten-year-old Jamaican actress/designer/model Journey Jewels has been selected as a cast member for Nick Cannon’s upcoming movie. The minor was selected at a recent casting interview hosted at JAMPRO’s head office in New Kingston.
While being tight-lipped about specific details involving the film, Journey’s mother, Mecca Million, told The Sunday Gleaner that she was proud of the accomplishment. She also said her daughter decided to audition for a role in the film after seeing the advertisement on social media.
“As a mother, I am very proud of her. She has always been into the arts, whether it may be designing, singing, dancing, or playing music. Her talent is natural, and I do believe she was born to do what she does because she has never been to acting school,” she said.
A little too young to operate her own social media profiles, Journey uses her mother’s social media pages to promote her work. “We share the same social media accounts and she uses social media to promote her stuff as well as broaden her reach. She is a very smart child,” Million said.
Speaking with The Sunday Gleaner, Journey said she is excited to have been selected as a member of Nick Cannon’s cast. She also said she wants to pursue careers in music, acting, and designing, partially following in the footsteps of her mother, who also dabbles in modelling and music.
“I am pretty excited about it and I can’t wait. I knew who Nick Cannon was from the movie Drumline and some of the ones about dancing. When I met him recently, he was very friendly, and I am looking forward to the movie,” Journey said.
Singling out Tyler Perry as her favourite actor, the young actress said she would be giving viewers nothing but raw talent.
“I want to become an actress, and I will be giving my all where talent is concerned for this show because if God gives you a talent, it’s best to use it or else it will be taken away,” she said.
Aside from acting, Journey is looking to release a clothing line in the near future and has already designed some of her pieces.
Nick Cannon recently visited Jamaica and attended several reggae/hardcore dancehall events in the Corporate Area, scouting for talent and promoting his Jamaican artiste, Kreesha. He is also promoting a new movie called School Dance, which features comedians Mike Epps, Kevin Hart, Lil Duval, actress/model Amber Rose, among others.

Mavado abused in NYC... Because he"s Black
Reggae Artist Mavado says he was treated like a bum and even verbally abused at a fancy Asian restaurant … simply because he’s black.
Sources close to Mavado tell TMZ … he hit up Philippe Chow in NYC for lunch Thursday with his family, when he was curiously put in the back of the restaurant, even though it was pretty much empty.
Mavado didn’t complain and the family got down to business, chowing down at Chow, when he walked over to another empty table and had someone in his family take a pic of him. He says that’s when a manager said he couldn’t sit at that table because they were expecting guests.
Mavado claims the manager added he was prohibited from using his phone in ANY manner.
He then claims he got the bum’s rush … all of the food came out at once. We gotta say, that’s what Asian restaurants typically do, but that’s his story. He says he felt like they wanted to get him out.
Things got hot as fish grease when Mavado’s wife tried sending the rice back. He says the manager came over and pitched a fit. He says the rice stayed put, yet it was included in the bill.
Mavado then accused the restaurant of treating him shabbily because he’s black, and the manager allegedly slammed the bill on the table and told him never to come back.
Mavado claims his manager was later contacted by the restaurant and they profusely apologized, saying they didn’t know he was a famous person. Mavado says he’ll never go back.
As for the restaurant, we called and a manager said, “We are talking to Mavado’s people and we have no Comment.

Amber Rose & Wiz Khalifa says "For the Sake of Our Kid"
Amber Rose and Wiz Khalifa have called a truce in their custody war … and they’ve agreed to co-parent their son … TMZ has learned.
You’ll recall Amber and Wiz were at each other’s throats, each calling the other a horrible parent and unfit to care for their 2-year-old son Sebastian.
But a song changed Amber’s tune. She heard Wiz’s new song, “See You Again,” which appears on the “Furious 7″ soundtrack. We’re told here’s what got to her:
How could we not talk about family when family’s all that we got?
Everything I went through you were standing there by my side
And now you gonna be with me for the last ride
Our sources say Wiz asked Amber to listen to the song, and after she heard it she tearfully called him back and they agreed to work as parents to care for Sebastian.

ZJ Liquid records song with Safaree Samuels, Mavado, Kabaka Pyramid, I-Octane, Popcaan, Kalado +more
Popular DJ-producer ZJ Liquid is working with American rapper Safaree Samuels on a single called ‘One Time’, which will be featured on his upcoming album called ‘M Square’. According to the multi-award-winning DJ, he is following the footsteps of hip-hop producer DJ Khaled.
“This album will be one featuring several artistes. The link with Safaree was made through Rum Blood of Ward 21, because he wants to get into the Jamaican vibe. He did a dub-plate for me for his single, Burner, and I met him in LA recently. it was there he told me he was feeling a dancehall vibes, and who better to do dancehall than us? So we spent a few hours in the studio and deal wid it,” ZJ Liquid said.
Also to be featured on the single One Time, is recording artiste Assassin, also called Agent Sasco.
“Assassin is doing well on the hip-hop scene right now. “He will do his verse a yard, and by summer it will be out,” he said, alluding to Assassin’s previous work with Kendrick Lamar, Kanye West and Raekwon.
Also to be featured on ZJ Liquid’s M Square album are recording artistes Mavado, Kabaka Pyramid, I-Octane, Popcaan, Kalado, among others.
“We are going to push both digital and hard-copy versions of the album. Right now, we are looking for distribution deals, but if we don’t get a major company on board, we will still push forward independently,” he said.
ZJ Liquid recently released the compilation on the ‘Fix Up’rhythm, that debuted at number 16 on the iTunes album charts. The project was also featured on the front page of the official iTune’s webpage.
Safaree Samuels’ single, Burner, currently has over 100,000 views onYouTube. The Jamaica-born rapper recently separated from his long-time girlfriend, Nicki Minaj, after dating for 10 years.
