Byron Messia Says People Are Misinterpreting His Post As He Denies Saying That He Has The Biggest Dancehall Song Since 2005 - Watch Video

Byron Messia says people are misconstruing his post, in which he posted an article predicting his song Talibans can be the biggest song in dancehall since 2005. When he was directly asked via an interview if he said he had the biggest dancehall song since 2005, the entertainer unequivocally said "naw."

Byron Messia explained the reason behind the controversial post by stating, "You had to understand, like from the first post I made why I said that, I posted something of the UK. Talibans is at number 12 right now; if Talibans sits at number ten, yeah, the article said it can be one of the biggest songs since 2005."

The artiste also made it clear that he was not trying to take away from other dancehall artistes that have been representing the culture on the international scene over the years. However, the artiste also asked, why a musician can't congratulate themself for great work that they have done, even though he knows self-praise was no praise.

Going forward, the entertainer said he would keep quiet and keep working on his musical projects because of the way his post was misinterpreted and pieced together. Byron went on to ask why people never connected the multiple slides he posted online instead of just reading one of the slides out of context.

"When I started off with the post, I said thank god for everything I did so much in the space of six months that was the first slide they ain't use that slide with the rest," Byron explained.

Jamaican Scammer Gets into Heated Argument on Phonecall, "Gunshot yuh ago get... yuh ago dead a foreign" - Watch Video

Jamaica is known to have a thriving scamming community that the law enforcement agencies of the country are trying to crack down on. People have been warned to be vigilant in order to avoid being caught up with and scammed by one of these individuals.

A video is circulating the internet of an attempt by a scammer, referred to as "John", trying to take advantage of a person, Daniel, who is wearing the military outfit of a soldier. Based on the direction and outcome of the call, John was initially unaware of who he had on the line.

According to the video exchange, Daniel knew who he was dealing with and was stringing the scammer along. The alleged soldier stated at the beginning of the video that he had lost all his contact info and would need a number to call for whatever "transaction" was taking place.

After making sure Daniel was still on the line, John provided him with a number and coached him on what to do, which was to call the number and keep him on the line at all times. He even mentioned that the current call would be paid for so there was no need to worry.

"The call is gonna be...the call will be paid for alright, just keep the line open and have it done," he said, using an American accent.

At this point, Daniel decided to make it known that he knew that the call was a scam attempt and this led to both men threatening each other with the use of guns. The name Valerie Robinson was also mentioned and the soldier told the man on the line that, "a target dat...you should a never gimi har name."

It's unclear when the call was made.

The video was posted on Instagram and the comment section was flocked by people trying to get a word in. One individual stated, "A brethren dem? 😂😂 Look how long the man dem a talk fah like dem a friend 😂." Another person wrote, "Only Jamaicans could try scam you and then cuss you out for being smart 🤣😅🤣."

Yanique 'Curvy Diva' Shows Off "5.0 Bumpa" - Watch Video

Yanique Barrett, better known as the 'Curvy Diva', had come forward almost a year ago that she was looking forward to having more plastic surgery done while criticism ran rampant on the internet about her 'ill-shaped' bottom.

At the time, Yanique stated that she was advised to hold off on the surgery until she was ready and she spoke out against her haters stating that she knew how she looked but would not let the public rush her actions.

Over the weekend, she posted a series of pictures and a video online to update her followers about her new look after keeping true to her word and having more work done. She called her new and improved look the "5.0 Bumpa" in the captioned post.

In the pictures posted she was seen laughing at the camera and posing sideways and forward. She was dressed in a multicoloured button-up dress with her hair in a single, long, plaited ponytail. The lone video saw her showing off her butt from different angles.

The comment section of the post varied from good to bad comments with andreantomicka stating, "Everywhere else on you look nice except the bottom . Some of the bottom want to come off," on the other hand, barbielove323 writing, "It fake but it still a shake."

8YO Girl Raped and Killed in St. Ann

According to reports, an eight-year-old grade four student of the Discovery Bay Primary and Infant School in St. Ann was raped and killed over the weekend. The suspect of the gruesome act is currently in police custody and is said to be a neighbour of the victim.

The 27-year-old suspect whose name was not released tried to commit suicide after committing the murder, as per the police report.

The victim, Talia Thompson was rapped and fatally stabbed minutes after 3 PM on Saturday after being lured to his house by the suspect who is said to be a friend of Thompson's family.

The incident took place in Discovery Bay, St. Ann. The police were alerted to the scene after neighbours heard loud explosions coming from the premises.

The police have also reported that a total of four locally-made firearms were found at the location.

A teacher from the Discovery Bay Primary and Infant School expressed her shock after hearing the news and informed Jamaica Gleaner that, "I have known Talia from she was in grade two. Very brilliant girl."

Thompson recently entered the 2023 Mini Miss St. Ann pageant and is said to be the winner of the Mini Miss Discovery Bay Pageant for 2022.

This latest killing has marked the third murder of an eight-year-old in Jamaica since 2023. On June 8, Danielle Rowe was abducted and fatally injured. While the first killing of an eight-year-old in Jamaica in 2023 took place back in February when Nikita Noel was raped and strangled.

Khago Gives More Update on Fall Out With Upcoming Female Artiste; Denies Her Claims - Watch Video

Dancehall artiste Khago whose real name is Ricardo Gayle has returned with more details about the current drama between himself and aspiring dancehall artiste Jay Pink. Khago took a break from one of his dubplate sessions to vent on the matter.

According to the Nah Sell Out artiste, the female in question like many people, is an 'attention junkie'. Notably, Khago did not mention the name "Jay Pink" during his statements and instead made reference to people in general, however, based on the topics and the things he said about a particular female being around him, it's obvious who he was talking about.

"A negative and positive run this earth yah, you fi choose," says Khago as he details that he does not mind the bad criticism because he is more focused on the work at hand and even stated that he made 300 thousand dollars the day he decided to make the video, he even worried at one point about being able to complete the job he was paid for.

According to Khago he was not interested in Jay Pink because of her personal hygiene and questioned why he would eat her when he was not interested in having sex with her in the first place.

With regard to her claims of Khago assaulting her, Khago urged her and others in her position to take their matter to a police station before taking it online.

Nah Change Ent Takes on U.S. Tour with 'Summa' and Drops Whispa di Minista

Fast-rising dancehall label Nah Change Entertainment has officially dropped upcoming dancehall artiste Whispa Di Minsta from the list of personnel under its management. While the reason for the omission was not mentioned, the label has outlined that the focus at the moment is a U.S. tour with female dancehall artiste Summa.

With regards to the upcoming tour, Danvoy Foster aka Danelle Foster who leads Nah Change Entertainment explains that, "Summa is creating a wide fan base cross America 🇺🇸 and my artist is base in America 🇺🇸 right now ofter I successfully get her visa and other documents to move from country to country summa is a great female musician and the world 🌎 will see her greatness summa is getting ready for her first EP 2024 that’s going to be a great art of work."

Foster went on to detail that he's "creating the next queen of dancehall" and raised the point that the mission won't be easy, plus he understands that it won't be "a over thing". He also confidently declares that "when summa steps out back on the local market there will be no space for anyone because she plans to lock the gate."

The label has so far signed artistes such as Summa, Aranark, and Shelly-Ann Curran.

Nah Change Entertainment recently took to Instagram to show respect for dancehall artiste Valiant despite Summa/Nah change Entertainment having issues with the artiste in the past with regards to a music video for the song WHAT WOULD YOU DO which is a collaboration with Summa and Valiant.

Khago Responds to Jay Pink and Calls Gyptian's Name in 'Shaky Business' - Watch Video

Khago refuted Jay Pink's claims that she offered him sexual favours in his fiery response. According to the Manchester-born artiste, the reason why Jay Pink was putting him on blast is due to the fact that he nor any of his friends wanted her. Khago went on to say that Jay Pink was very unhygienic and disrespectful.

In his revelation, Khago dragged reggaedancehall artiste Gyptian in to mix by stating, "You should a shame a you rass self, you come round four man weh yuh seh a horny bull and no man nuh look pon you because you nuh smell good to pu**yclatt you smell like garbage, not even Pretty Don waa you dutty long down pussy tongue, you come a talk bout squeeze cock, pussy hole you seh Gyptian f**k yuh inna yuh batty and suck yuh pu**y."

Khago continued his response by making more claims about Gyptian; he says Jay Pink told him she had an abortion with Gyptian's child. The Nah Sell Out artiste also said those alleged comments by Jay Pink led to him not respecting or liking her.

However, Khago did confirm at least one of Jay Pink's claims, as it relates to her stocking out his home bar and not being able to retrieve her goods. Khago posed in front of the bar as he responded by boasting that he drank some of the liquors and threw away the rest he did not want.

Denyque Says She is Dating Again; Fans React - Watch Video

Reggae Girlz Lose 2-0 to Canada In Olympic Qualifiers

As the Reggae Girlz continue to hunt more history in the world of Football they tackled defending Olympic gold medalist Canada for a place in the prestigious event.

The Reggae Girlz started the first half well by dominating possession for the first 15 minutes of the game but failed to create any real threat on the Canadian goal.

However, despite having little of the ball in the first quarter of the game, it was the women from North America who got the early breakthrough after Prince headed in a dangerous cross via Lawrence to beat the Jamaican goalkeeper with 18 minutes on the clock.

From the first goal went in, the Reggae Girlz looked shell-shocked, which gave Canada the impetus to take control of the game. Although Jamaica attempted to make a few good attacking combinations up the pitch, the effort proved in vain as they were unable to force the Canadian goalkeeper to make a single save, ending the first half a goal down.

It was much the same in the second period; Jamaica's defence came under severe pressure, with Canadians hitting the upright after just seconds on the clock.

Canada continued to create more openings in Jamaica's defence, forcing Spencer into action on numerous occasions. Late into extra time, the Canadians grabbed another goal following a clinical finish from their striker to give Canada a 2-0 lead victory.

Jamaica will now travel to Canada as they try to overturn a 2-0 deficit. The Canadians will be the favourites to finish the job at home following their impressive performance in Kingston.

Teacher Reportedly Bursts 8-Y-O Boy's Head with Lysol Bottle - Watch Video, Listen Audio

A teacher at the George Headly Primary School at Baldwin Crescent in Kingston 20, St. Andrew, has been accused of striking a student with a Lysol can and drawing blood. The incident reportedly happened when the child was misbehaving in class, leading the teacher to hit him three times in his head with the disinfectant spray can.

The mother of the schoolboy went public with a voice recording and a picture of the child's injury, informing the public about what reportedly happened.

She allowed her 8-year-old child to give his account of the incident, which started with him saying he was misbehaving, and the teacher punished him by hitting him twice.

"Mi did a give trouble. Miss did lick mi inna mi head two time...but mi head neva did buss deh time deh," the boy said.

He continued by saying that when he continued to speak in class, the teacher inflicted corporal punishment again, hitting the boy a third time. "And den mi did a talk again, and Miss did lick mi wid di Lysol bottle and dah time deh mi head did buss... Three times I got lick wid di bottle."

The child's uncle also spoke out expressing his anger and said that he was going to report the matter to the Ministry of Education, and his sister, the child's mother, would also file a report with the police. "Wah kinda abuse dis a gwan pan di pickney dem a school?" the irate man asked.

The incident has sparked backlash on social media, with viewers urging the parent to take action against the teacher. One commenter said, "Them love take out them man problem on the kids but best believe we both would be arrested that day."
