Young Dancehall artiste Skeng linked up with Afrobeats star Burna Boy in Guyana. The pair were photographed together, and three photos of them were shared online Thursday morning.

In the first image, Skeng poses with one arm on Burna Boy's shoulder while he holds a cup in his other hand. The Protocol artiste sports a black shirt, matching pants, a cap, and white sneakers, with jewellery completing his look.

Mobay Street Vendor Bursts Chinese Business Woman's Head with Frying Pan

Reports are that a Chinese female national is recovering from a head injury after being assaulted with a frying pan by an enraged female street vendor. The altercation arose from an accusation that the Chinese woman had struck the vendor's child.

The incident occurred on Tuesday afternoon when the vendor's child entered the Chinese woman's store situated near the street vendor's stall. Witnesses observed the child tampering with items on the shelves. Subsequently, the store owner, whose identity remains undisclosed for security reasons, reprimanded the child and escorted her out of the store, per police.

Later, the child allegedly informed her mother that she had been hit by the store owner. Enraged by this claim, the vendor stormed into the store to confront the Chinese woman. Despite the store owner's attempts to explain the situation, the vendor, in a fit of anger, grabbed a frying pan from a nearby shelf and struck the Chinese woman on the head.

As per the Jamaica Star, the attack inflicted a severe wound, causing the Chinese national to suffer a gash on her head, which resulted in profuse bleeding. Following the assault, the enraged woman dropped the frying pan and fled the scene. Despite efforts by the police to locate her, she remains at large.

Authorities are urging anyone with information about the whereabouts of the assailant to come forward and assist in the investigation. The incident serves as a reminder of the need to maintain calm and composure during disputes, as resorting to violence only exacerbates the situation and endangers lives.

As investigations into the assault continue, local authorities are reviewing security measures in the area to prevent similar incidents from occurring in the future. In particular, Members of the business community, who are unhappy with the attack on their colleague are calling for the return of Operation Restore Pride, which is an initiative to keep vendors out of the area.

DJ Khaled Continues to Show Profound Love for Reggae and Dancehall

DJ Khaled has always been vocal about his love for Jamaica and its music, whether Dancehall or Reggae, and he shows this in different ways which includes his frequent visits to the island and posting videos vibing to Jamaican music.

On Wednesday, Khaled paid his latest respect to the culture, sharing a video of himself chilling and listening to a Super Cat dubplate titled 'Jah Run Things'. He captioned the video, "Maximum manners and respect🌞🏝️."

Notably, the American DJ turned record producer has been promoting YG Marley's Praise Jah in the Moonlight in his many Instagram uploads, adding to the song's already worldwide popularity. In addition, DJ Khaled is expected to collaborate with the artiste for an upcoming song, based on a clip of the two men enjoying themselves in the studio, along with other associates.

This will be adding to the long list of Jamaican artistes that the producer has partnered with in the past. He has done music with veterans in the business like Bounty Killer, Capleton, Buju Banton, Sizzla, and also signed Mavado to his label back in 2011.

However, things have not always been a bed of roses as shown by a recent fallout between the producer and Sizzla Kalonji where Sizzla videoed himself destroying and burning the plaques given to him by DJ Khaled. Over time, the two seem to have let bygones be bygones.

Khaled recently shared and pinned a post on his IG account of Bob Marley speaking about Reggae music getting "bigger and bigger..." In another post, DJ Khaled states that he is working on a "special experience" for his new upcoming album and it is expected that Reggae and or Dancehall music will be featured on it.

He can also be seen in posts uploaded a couple of days ago working away in the studio with a caption that said, "Working on my biggest album @wethebest I'm inspired to give the world great energy."

Reggae and Dancehall 'Biggest-Hits' Back on TikTok After New Deal with Universal Music Group

Universal Music Group (UMG) and TikTok have announced a comprehensive licensing deal that promises a host of benefits for artistes, songwriters, and music lovers worldwide. Under the terms of the new agreement, UMG's extensive catalogue of recordings and songs will return to TikTok's platform, reinstating beloved Reggae and Dancehall tracks from iconic artistes such as Bob Marley, Shaggy, Skip Marley, Sean Paul, Beenie Man, Shenseea, Buju Banton, Chaka Demus & Pliers and more.

The partnership, unveiled on May 1, 2024, heralds a significant milestone in the music industry, with both entities committing to foster creativity, drive innovation, and protect artistic integrity. This development comes in the wake of recent negotiations that saw UMG pulling its music from TikTok due to payment disputes earlier in the year.

A few months ago, a trove of music from several genres was pulled from the platform on February 1. One such casualty was Shenseea and Masicka’s rising hit, Hit & Run, which quickly racked up millions of views after its release and was growing in popularity on TikTok. Like Bob Marley, tracks from Shenseea and Masicka’s catalogue are managed by UMG under its subsidiary labels.

Following Hit & Run‘s removal, Shenseea’s co-manager, Romeich Major, addressed the situation. Seemingly disappointed with the outcome, Romeich noted that the song had been removed just as Shenseea and Masicka had released it.

The new deal between both entities signifies a renewed commitment to collaboration, with UMG and TikTok pledging to explore new avenues for artiste promotion, fan engagement, and revenue generation. Sir Lucian Grainge, Chairman and CEO of Universal Music Group, lauded the partnership as a testament to the enduring value of music and the importance of supporting artistes and songwriters.

Shou Chew, CEO of TikTok, echoed Grainge's sentiments, emphasizing music's integral role within the TikTok ecosystem and the platform's dedication to fostering a vibrant creative community.

As part of the agreement, both UMG and TikTok will leverage their respective strengths to enhance the music experience for users. Woman Exposes Man for Stealing Her Pitbull and Hiding it at Secret Location "Dah Bwoy yah thief mi dog!" - Watch Video

A disgruntled Jamaican dog owner decided to capture footage as she and two others took a man who reportedly stole her pitbull to the location where he hid the pet. The one minute and twenty-three seconds long video has the words "Dod thief caught" along with a Jamaica flog as the caption.

According to one of the females in the video, the estranged male stole the dog with the intention to "sell" the pet whose name is Nina. "Look weh di bwoy carry mi dog guh hide mi dog... come Nina!" the owner of the dog stated after seeing the dog appear from behind some rocks close to the ocean.

It's unclear when the incident took place, however, it took place in Jamaica. Check out the footage that is now making rounds online below:

Bartender Killed Second Day on the Job in Manchester

A robbery in Manchester resulted in the death of a bartender on her second day of work at the location. The incident occurred in New Green on Wednesday afternoon. According to the preliminary reports, two armed men entered a bar in New Green Square around 1:00 p.m.

The robbers stole cash from the establishment and shot the bartender before fleeing the scene. The identity of the bartender, who was fatally shot was not revealed in the report.

The robbers fired multiple shots outside as they rushed towards a waiting vehicle, which then fled the scene, according to an eye-witness via the Jamaica Observer. Additionally, a video was shared online showing the scene where the police and residents were gathered acter the shooting.

A man can be heard detailing that he was inside his kitchen when he heard a gunshot. He also shared that he saw the assailants firing in the square and even at another bartender, who ran to safety.

"As dem reach yasso, dem fire one shot after di next bartender, and she run inna di shop...Den dem go dung desso and go jump inna di car. When dem jump inna di car, dem buss a next shot again. A di serious man dem mi eva see to rawtid," he said.

Furthermore, he stated that he saw them running with the money drawer from the bar. Shortly before the video concluded, he added that the deceased bartender attended work yesterday, and he does not know her.

Sprinter-turned-producer Usain Bolt has revealed that he has something big coming on May 3rd. The retired athlete previewed his Sweet 7 Riddim, which features multiple well-known Reggae artistes bringing seven 'Sweet Reggae' tunes for music lovers.

The announcement was made online on Wednesday. Usain posted a short animated video with his groovy slow-tempo riddim playing in the audio.

Sweet 7 riddim which gives off a Reggae vibe will feature Reggae singers Alaine, Christopher Martin, Lutan Fyah, Lukie D, Ras I, Ikaya, and Bolt's associate NJ.

Delomar RDX's Performance in New York Cut Short by Police Due to Unruly Crowd, Resulting in Riot - Watch Video

Video footage of a crowd rioting after a performance by Delomar RDX was cut short by law enforcement shutting down the event is circulating online. Delomar RDX, birth name Andre Bedward, one half of the duo RDX that split in 2020, had a performance in Albany, New York, as a part of his promotional tour for his upcoming album called 'Galiday'.

However, due to overzealous fans and those who took the liberty to climb over fences, the event was cut short while Delomar was performing the hit single Jump onstage to a lively crowd who was singing and dancing along to the music.

Before his performance started, Delomar stated, "Mi know say it agguh be craaazy...cuz yow dem crazy out desso..." Little did he know, however, that a long line of police would have to intervene to take control of the crowd.

After returning to his car, the entertainer was commenting on how the event had to be shut down and the amount of police called to the university where it took place.

While driving away and videoing the aftermath, he said, "Watch yah. A me alone cause e wul a dis ennuh...watch yah cuh police...Albany get destroyed by Delomar."

Kraff's 'Daggering' Skills Criticised After This Performance On Stage With Female Fan - Watch Video

Dancehall artiste Kraff is facing criticism due to a video of his latest performance, which caused some viewers to speculate about his bedroom skills. Unfortunately, some viewers have concluded that the Sinna deejay is not skilled when it comes to giving a woman a good time in bed.

The assumption was made after critics watched Kraff dagger a female on stage. The deejay can be seen shirtless as he holds the microphone in one hand and uses the other to grip the woman's pants as she bends over in front of him.

He deejays Rum Behaviour while dancing with her, and shortly afterwards, she stands up and returns to the audience. Afterwards, Kraff resumes his solo performance, and the video concludes seconds later.

The video was shared on X April 30 by Donz Media shortly before midday, then later reshared by Kadidja Palmer, who commented, "From me look pon dis me know him cyah f**k."

Another Road Rage Between Taximan and Private Vehicle Owner in Corporate Area - Watch Video

Another video is circulating online of a taximan (yellow shirt) and a private vehicle owner (brown shirt) swearing at each other with their cars blocking off a section of one of the lanes below the 3 Miles Bridge located in Kingston/St. Andrew, Jamaica

The video started recording seemingly by someone in a car behind the two cars, after both cars had already stopped on the road causing traffic to build up behind. Based on what the private vehicle owner was saying, it seems as if the taxi man tried to squeeze past his car in a tight space.

The incident shows the private car owner walking around his vehicle toward the taxi filled with people saying, "Pu**ycl**t wrong wid yuh? Wapm to yuh, eh?" He reeled off a number of expletives and told the taximan about his mother, telling him to pray that no damage was done to his car.

The taxi operator then reversed and exited his car to look it over, holding what seems to be a tire iron in his hand. At one point, the two men got in each other's faces while shouting, but did not touch each other.

Next, the passengers start to exit the taxi, seemingly to get away from the confrontation as the men continue to argue.

Pamputtae Opens for Nicki Minaj in Canada Waving Jamaica Flag - Watch Video

Back in February Nicki Minaj revealed her love for Dancehall artiste Pamputtae whose real name is Eveana Henry, the Trinidadian rapper also shared that she will be assisting the Ride It artiste with obtaining a US visa so that she can be on her Pink Friday 2 Tour.

As per Pamputtae's latest posts online, Ninki Minaj followed through with her promise of having her perform on her tour. Pamputtae performed as an opener for Nicki Minaj on Tuesday, April 30, in Toronto during the second show in Canada of the tour.

Tuesday night, Pamputtae took to Instagram and wrote, "First and foremost I want to give thanks to the most high God. Big up @nickiminaj for allowing me to open her second show in Toronto. To all my fans that have been here from day one and the new ones, I love you," along with several images in a slide. Notably, her big son was also present at the show.

Back in February, the Queen of Rap was on an Instagram livestream when she noticed Pamputtae in the comments, expressing her desire to join her Pink Friday 2 tour.

In response to Pamputtae’s comment, Nicki said, “Pamputtae, if you can come out here right now, I will hire you right now on the spot, Pamputtae. And then, you can be on the tour, and every night we can do umm our song… the Fine Nine tings zeen.”

Bounty Killer Says, "90s Dancehall Rules Supreme" and Shares Video of 21 Savage Singing 'Badman Kill Fi Fun'

Veteran Dancehall artiste Bounty Killer has always been a strong advocate of old-style Dancehall music and bringing back peace and unity in the Dancehall community. He also believes that the younger musical generation (Dancehall and Reggae) should globalize their music instead of only singing songs that only the Jamaican population can understand and vibe to.

Multiple older artistes have stated that the music being made nowadays by budding artistes and those with a young career in music, doesn't have the same effect of bringing people together as older music did, but they also stated that they understand that music grows and changes over time.

Bounty Killer uploaded a post of British Rapper 21 Savage (a lover of dancehall music) singing along to any older song of his 'Badman Kill Fi Fun' and stated, "@21savage Remind some of these retards something. I doubt he's even 30yrs as yet and that's a song from 1994 he be vibing to 90s dancehall rules supreme a who vex."

The comment section of the post seemed to agree with his statement on the superiority of 90s Dancehall music.

16YO Clarendon Teen Missing for Over a Month, Family Receives Cryptic Messages from Her Phone

A 16-year-old girl from Clarendon has been missing for over a month, and her concerned family has received several cryptic messages from her phone. The missing teen, Britannia O'Connor, was last seen leaving Vere Technical High School in Clarendon on March 15.

Family members said that she was supposed to return to her home in Lionel Town in the parish, but she did not. A relative stated that the teen was to stay with a cousin who was visiting, and when she did not arrive home on time, the cousin decided to wait until it was clear that something was wrong.

It has been 45 days since the teen has been missing, and the police are investigating her disappearance. One of her relatives told TVJ News that the police said they tracked the teen's phone "somewhere near Bamboo Friendship" in Hanover. According to the news outlet, the phone was tracked in March.

Additionally, her family told the news outlet that students at her school accused her of creating a gossip page on Instagram, causing her to receive threats and be bullied by a gang of students. The family's efforts to contact Britannia have resulted in cryptic replies from the teen's phone, one of which includes an apology.

"Am sorry I love you guys so much but I can't do this no more I wanna go home and rest," the message said. The message was sent right after the relative asked her if she was in Montego Bay.

A friend of the teen also received two messages, saying, "It's a reason y me go weh," and "An me nah go bk home."

Another strange message sent to her cousin reads, "Me personally do this because me wah tek the burden off a uno as me family me wah face the consequences alone an me know some a uno a seh a me man yard me gone uno might nah guh seh so pon the media but me know only reason y me woulda come bk is because me wah finish school."

The message went on to say that she feels like she is the worst person. An accompanying message states that she is residing with a friend named Crystal, but she will not disclose where Crystal lives.

Furthermore, a voice note was sent to the cousin, informing the relative that she was okay and they should stop worrying about her. However, Britannia's family is not convinced that the voice belongs to the teenage girl.

Bounty Killer's Main Instagram Page Reinstated

Bounty Killer's main Instagram page has once again been reinstated following his suspension on the social media platform last year.

Bounty's main page, @grunggaadzilla, has been suspended multiple times over the past few years, forcing him to use his second Instagram page, @1unogeneral. The deejay has lashed out at the platform on several occasions amid his struggle to maintain his account.

In 2022, Bounty's page was suspended twice, first in May after speaking out about Jamaican politicians and law enforcement, and then for a second time in August. His most recent suspension was in June 2023, which infuriated the artiste, who said he had not posted anything “offensive or abusive.”

While the suspensions have enraged the Benz and Bimma deejay, the recent reinstatement of his account has seemingly left him in a good mood. Following the last post to his main page on June 15 last year, the artiste has made several posts since April 27.

His first post was a celebratory one, with Bounty expressing that he cannot be held back as he shared a photograph of himself out partying. "Who god bless NPT unuh know di rest😇😇 Everything shall forward in ten fold mankind shall behold👈🏿," Bounty wrote.

Arguably the best Reggae song in recent times, ‘Praise Jah in the Moonlight’ by YG Marley, the grandson of Reggae legend Bob Marley on Tuesday marked another milestone after its release back in December of 2023.

The song now sits at #94 on the Billboard Hot 100 Chart after falling several spots from a better placement on the chart last week. The song peaked at #34 on the Billboard Hot 100 Chart.

The music video for ‘Praise Jah in the Moonlight’ was released on April 20th, and it has racked up over four million views collectively in nine days. On the other hand, the song, released on YouTube on December 25h, 2023 has racked up over four million views on the platform.

The footage reveals Vella's heart-stopping fall from 85 feet, leaving him with severe injuries including a broken neck, back, arm, and pelvis.

After plummeting to the ground at a speed of around 50 mph, Writhing in agony, Vella desperately calls out for help, utilizing his phone's voice assistant to contact emergency services.

The cause of the crash was attributed to a missed tension knot in Vella's paraglider during a pre-flight check, leading to the aircraft's collapse mid-air. Watch the crash below:

Witnesses rush to his aid, summoning medical assistance and informing Vella's wife, Leandra, of the dire situation. Following the crash, Vella was swiftly transported to the hospital where medical professionals diagnosed him with multiple fractures requiring surgical intervention.
