Reggae Boyz FIFA Ranking Update

Jamaica has long been known for its passion and talent in the world of sports, and football is no different. The country's national football teams(male and female) have consistently showcased their skill and determination, earning them the top spot in the Caribbean and a respected place in international football.

The Boyz recently beat Canada in a thrilling encounter to qualify for the 2024 Copa América tournament.

In the latest FIFA rankings, Jamaica's men's national team continues to rank above the average. The senior men's team, commonly known as the "Reggae Boyz," has maintained their 55th position in the rankings, securing a commendable position among other reputable footballing nations.

While the male team is ranked at 55 with 1421.54 total points, the female team has been better, the Reggae Girlz has 1588.67 total points and is currently ranked 37th in the world having qualified for the last two World Cups. The Reggae Boyz only tasted World Cup football in 1998 and are hoping for a successful World Cup Qualifying campaign next summer.

The Reggae Boyz' next major match will be against the USA in the CONCACAF Nations League, the match is scheduled for March 21, 2024.

Armed Robbery at Bar Caught on Camera in St. Elizabeth - Watch Video

A robbery carried out by multiple armed men at a bar reportedly in St. Elizabeth was caught on camera as thieves continue to plague local business establishments.

In footage taken from the bar, a woman is seen carrying a table as she seemingly prepares to close the establishment.

After she exits the establishment, a masked man can be seen running in her direction, with other masked assailants later entering the bar.

One of the armed assailants assaulted a man in the bar, hitting him over the head with his handgun, causing him to seemingly fall off camera.

The first assailant then returns with the woman from outside before his accomplices proceed to dismantle multiple game boxes and steal the cash from within.

Mavado Celebrates 43rd Birthday; Daughter 'Skye Diamond' Send Him Heartfelt Message

Dancehall artiste Mavado is seemingly having a quiet birthday celebration with his loved ones, as the artiste turned 43 on Thursday, November 30.

While there is no sign of festivities so far, The Gully God took to social media on Thursday to thank all the well-wishers. He stated, "Thanks for the love from my family friends and fans..get your tickets to come see me December 9 NYC on fire."

Mavado, born David Brooks, rose to fame in the early 2000s as a member of Bounty Killer's Alliance. Creating a slew of hits, such Weh Dem a do, So Special, Last Night, etc, Mavado became one of dancehall's heavyweights.

In celebration of his birthday last year, in 2022, the deejay received a special surprise from his family and friends: a G.O.A.T. cake (Greatest of All Time), designed to serve as an example of his status as one of Jamaica's most successful dancehall artistes.

Since the break of Thursday, The deejay has been receiving well wishes, with his friend and fellow entertainer Flexxx wishing him a happy birthday via Instagram.

“Happy earth strong mi g more life and blessings yuh zeeeeeet MAD&MEAN #nato #gullyside,” Flexx wrote, captioning a photo of him and Mavado.

Mavado's daughter, Daniela Brooks, professionally known as Skye Diamond, also sent birthday wishes to her father via Instagram, writing, “Happy birthday to my don! We are so much alike. Love you to the moon and back daddy. More life.”

Skye went on to declare Thursday International G.O.A.T. Day in celebration of her father's birthday.

Lisa Hanna Shows Off Curves in Form-Fitting Dress - See Pictures

Showcasing one of the reasons why she won the title of Miss World in 1993, Lisa Hanna strikes a pose in a form-fitting black dress that captured the attention of many.

The Jamaican politician and beauty queen stepped out for a night with friends looking stunning from head to toe, stating that she was celebrating a "dear friend" of hers.

In the caption of the post which was later uploaded to Instagram, Hanna stated "'Less Steps, Deeper Footprints...' Celebrating my dear friend @valonthorpe last night. Congratulations!"

Valon Thorpe is the CEO (Chief Executive Officer) for the marketing agency Mystique Integrated Services, which celebrated their 10th anniversary and award wins.

Hanna wore a sleek, slicked back hairstyle with black heels, red lipstick and nail polish, and a black dress with side cutouts.

WATCH: Female Student in Heated Violent Confrontation With Teacher in Class

There continue to be behavioural problems in schools surrounding students who resort to violence during confrontations, whether it be with other students or adults. More and more of these incidents are also being caught on camera and circulated online.

One such incident involves a schoolgirl and an older gentleman with at least two more individuals involved. The video taken of the altercation shows the student and a man, possibly her father, in a school classroom with two people at the door.

The man had the student's school bag and seemed to be trying to prevent an escalation in her behaviour but she refused to listen. The audio heard the gentleman stating, "Look here, mi a say this to you, don't go too far."

To this, the girl replied, “…mi nah go noweh ennuh. A swear to God.” This was followed up by the girl addressing the individual who was videoing the incident by the door. She said, “Hey likkle su*k h**d woman, take that offa mi.”

She was then pushed out of the way by the man, prompting her to reach for a metal chair and attempt to throw it towards the doorway, seemingly at the person taking the video. The door was quickly closed, it is unclear if anyone was hit, but a woman, dressed like a teacher at the institution, walked away laughing after the incident.

Commenters after watching the video condemned the student's actions and also that of the lady at the doorway for laughing when a child was displaying such deplorable behaviour.

Fully Bad Gives Details on Foota Hype Fallout, Demarco War, Kyodi, Sting 2023 etc - Watch Interview

St. Andrew dancehall entertainer Fully Bad who is currently in Canada is making the most of the wave he has been on since the lyrical dancehall clash with iconic dancehaller Demarco. The entertainer is currently in the foreign country for work and took some time out to address several questions in an interview.

Fully Bad who was brought into dancehall by Selector Foota Hype explains his issues with Foota Hype and Kyodi. Noting that he was the one who taught Kyodi the dancehall game, he went on to highlight that Foota Hype at first did not like Kyodi, however, switched up and started supporting Kyodi since they parted ways.

According to Fully Bad, Foota Hype is "biggest corruption in music" because of his actions towards him over the years.

With regards to what caused the fallout with Foota Hype? Fully Bad detailed that while working with Foota Hype he did not see much growth in his career other than having a name. Fully Bad went on to recall a particular event they went to in Mobay, Sumfest Street Dance. According to Fully Bad, at the event, his brother and Foota Hype's brother got into a heated argument and since that night they stopped seeing eye to eye.

In the interview with Entertainment Report Podcast, Fully Bad outlined that despite the fallout he did not disrespect Foota Hype over the years, however, things changed recently when Foota Hype intentionally shunned him during the Deamrco clash, instead of supporting Fully Bad outlines that Foota Hype decided to put Kyodi against him.

Notably, recently Fully Bad disrespected a foe online, telling the person about his mother and warned that he would give "headshot" to any gatekeeper who wants to hold down his career, this statement according to fans was intended for no other than Foota Hype.

As it relates to Demarco and Sting 2023, Fully Bad outlines that he is booked for Sting 2023, however, he is unsure of a clash because Demarco is demanding six million dollars which is yet to be agreed upon by Sting organizers.

Fully Bad also expressed his respect for Demarco and praised him for entering the lyrical war which helped his career a lot.

Graig Butler Confident Dujuan Richards Will Make Chelsea's First Team - Watch Interview

Amid the growing anticipation for Dujuan “Whisper” Richards' debut with Chelsea F.C. in England, Richards' agent, Graig Butler, has shared his confidence that the player will make Chelsea's first team.

During an interview, Butler explained why Richards has not yet departed the island to join the West London-based club.

According to the Phoenix All Stars Football Academy founder, it was necessary for them to wait until Richards' 18th birthday, when he was legally able to make the decision himself, and the team has been waiting for him to receive his visa after applying. Butler shared that the wait is almost over, as nothing can hold back the young footballer, as he is now 18.

Though he noted that there is no guarantee of what Richards' place in Chelsea will be, Butler expressed confidence that the former Kingston College striker can make the club's first team. Butler explained that Richards' placement on the first team is part of his contract.

According to Butler, if Chelsea decides for whatever reason not to keep him on the team, such as to provide him with more time to develop, it can only happen after Richards begins training with the team during his evaluation period.

The Mona High head coach disclosed that Richards' previous training sessions with the team have gone well, and he sees no reason why the first team cannot utilise him. Butler shared that Richards has been preparing physically and is ready mentally as he anticipates his future at Chelsea.

Speaking on the possibility of Richards being loaned to another club, Butler highlighted the importance of the young player being placed in a competitive environment with players who want to improve. Sharing his belief that Richards would not thrive at a second-division club in England, Butler preferred one of the top four clubs in Germany, Belgium, or Holland.

Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce Partners With Swedish Brand Richard Mille - See Photos and Watch Video

Following in the footsteps of several international athletes, Jamaican Olympian Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce has secured a partnership deal with Swedish watch brand Richard Mille.

Fraser-Pryce's partnership comes as the athlete continues to exemplify excellence both on and off the track. The 36-year-old holds the record for most times ever under 10.70 seconds as a female in the 100m and continues to acquire accolades with a total of three Olympic championship titles, ten World Athletics titles, and five Diamond League titles.

Richard Mille announced the company's partnership with Fraser-Pryce on Wednesday via their Instagram page, highlighting her achievement as the most decorated athlete in the 100m and sharing her plans to conquer the Paris Olympics in 2024. Fraser-Pryce donned a Nike pleated tennis skirt and a crop top for her promotional photos while showcasing Richard Mille's RM 07-04 Automatic Sport watch.

The sprinter described the RM 07-04 as timeless while noting its defining qualities.

“It’s timeless. It ties into each person. It owns you whenever you wear it. That’s what I want, the perfect synergy, as if I’m wearing nothing,” Fraser-Pryce said.

Fraser-Pryce is known for her array of colourful wigs that often stun fans as much as her speed on the track. The sprinter shared that she is looking forward to pairing the salmon RM 07-04 Automatic Sport with one of her famous wigs during a race.

“It’s a partnership! When I step on the line, it’s about me bringing out the part of me which can best show this unique watch off to the world,” Fraser Pryce stated.

Speaking on her partnership with Richard Mille, Fraser-Pryce said she wanted to be a part of a brand that knows that age does not limit progress and said that they both share the same vision as it relates to creating a timeless legacy. The sprinter also shared that she has been told on numerous occasions what she can or cannot do, and she wanted to push barriers.

Alleged Ex-Employee Exposes Rat-Infested Flour at the Betta Value Supermarket in Old Harbour

A Jamaican man who was allegedly fired after refusing to package flour that was infested by rats went public to expose the unhygienic practices of the Betta Value Supermarket in Old Harbour.

The viral video shows the insides of the food establishment with bags of flour partly bitten. The voice of a man claiming to be an ex-employee detailed what transpired. He stated that after he informed the 'Chiney' of his discovery with the flour, he was told to weigh it regardless.

"Afta me tell the Chiney dem seh rat bite it and him a seh fi weigh it and sell the people dem right round Betta Value, Old Harbour and tru mi seh me nah weigh it dem fire me and get other yute fi weigh it," he said.

Soon after, the video transitioned to show goods on the outside being unloaded onto a van. This reportedly stems from the supermarket being infiltrated with members from the South West St. Catherine Health Department.

A woman's voice in the background thanked the swift response from the health authorities and remarked, "Dem left come from China fi kill Jamaican people, dem not killing no more body a Jamaica."

Unconfirmed reports are that the supermarket was closed down.

Footage Shows Birdman's Crew Snatching Comedian Druski's Chain During Confrontation

American comedian Druski was reportedly robbed of his chain after being cornered by rapper Birdman and his crew while at a studio in Los Angeles, California.

Birdman, the co-founder of Cash Money Records, confronted Druski during a live stream over the summer after the rapper felt Druski was copying Cash Money with Coulda Been Records, as they share similar logos. The comedian had also been trolling the artiste for some time.

Surveillance footage taken from the studio shows Druski and four of his companions being confronted by Birdman and two of his companions in a stairwell on Friday night. "Take that piece off" stated Birdman, Druksi replied, "No". During the verbal confrontation, a member of Birdman's crew grabs at Druski's throat, at which point he seemingly snatches his diamond-encrusted Coulda Been Records chain.

Druski and his companions fled and ran down a narrow hallway. Birdman and his friends later followed behind.

Birdman went on to post a photo of Druski's chain on social media.

Crab Vendor Alice Tells All in New Interview

Alice Waugh, the sole woman responsible for the closure of the popular Heroes Circle Crab Spot in Kingston, has come forward to share details on the aftermath of the viral video, her relationship with Nadine and her famous soup ingredients.

In an interview with Ragjhon Brown, host of the Total Package Show, controversial crab vendor Alice stated that she has been making soup for over 30 years and that she undoubtedly sells the tastiest one at the food spot.

"Mi nah ask nobody, mi nuh haffi tell nuh body, as yuh open it yuh smell it." Before working at that location, she shared that she was stationed at the airport where she was doing the same venture and that even now, her picture still flies high there.

However, when asked about her relationship with Nadine and if she has forgiven her for sending out the video which showed her wiping her butt and dropping the tissue on the ground, she casually asked the question, " Forgive har? Weh she do? Weh she do?"

Nonchalantly she added that she was surprised when she learned of the video as she and Nadine used to communicate every day.

Alice further shared that the other crab vendors continue to remain supportive and disclosed that she did not attend the meeting by the health authorities nor the five-day training in proper food handling and preparation because she already knows how to cook. This was a programme being offered by the HEART/NSTA Trust.

During the interview, the host also had a taste of Alice's famous soup, where she mentioned that her ingredients include cow skin, chicken foot, beef, pumpkin, cocoa, dasheen, and yam.

Massive Two-Truck Collision in St. Elizabeth - Aftermath Footage

Bystanders rallied to assist as best they could after a massive collision in St. Elizabeth between two trucks left multiple people injured.

The accident happened in the community of Cheltenham after one of the trucks reportedly attempted to overtake the other hours ago.

In footage taken from the scene of the collision, a small flatbed truck can be seen pinned to one side of a large trailer truck.

One of the men at the scene seemingly indicated that the flatbed truck was at fault.

A section of the trailer truck's hood was extensively damaged, with pieces scattered over the road, while the severe damage to the flatbed truck's front end left one man pinned inside.

Multiple men attempted to help free the man from the vehicle.

Reports state that there were no deaths as a result of the incident.

Best Reggae Album Nominees: Buju Banton, Beenie Man, Julian Marley & Antaeus, Burning Spear and Collie Buddz

The Recording Academy announced today, November 10, the albums nominated in the category for Best Reggae Album for the 66th Annual Grammy Awards. Vying for the title are Born for Greatness by Buju Banton, Simma by Beenie Man, Colors of Royal by Julian Marley & Antaeus, No Destroyer by Burning Spear, and Cali Roots Riddim 2023 by Collie Buddz.

Simma is Beenie Man's 17th studio, 19-track album which was released on August 31, 2023. It features collaborations with local and international artistes and reportedly sold 500 units in the US during its first week. In 2001, he secured the title with his album, Art and Life in the Best Reggae Album category.

In 2011, Buju Banton claimed the top spot with his 10th studio album, Before the Dawn, which was released a year before. His last nomination was in 2020 for his album, Upside Down, making this his 7th nomination overall.

Nominated twice in the category is Julian Marley with his albums, As I Am and Awake.

Burning Spear is also no stranger to the competition as he has been nominated a total of 13 times. He has won the title twice for his 1999 album, Calling Rastafari, and 2008, Jah Is Real.

Lastly, this nomination in the category is the first for Bermudian Reggae artiste, Collie Buddz. His album, Cali Roots Riddim 2023 is a 23-track compilation that also features Jamaican deejay Busy Signal on A Thousand Times.

The voting finale will be between the period December 14, 2023, and January 4, 2024. Grammy winners will be announced on February 4, 2024, at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, California.

Spice Attends VIP Event for Tyler Perry's Documentary, "Maxine's Baby: The Tyler Perry Story"

The Atlanta premiere for Tyler Perry's highly anticipated documentary, Maxine's Baby: The Tyler Perry Story, was a star-studded red carpet event and screening.

A slew of elite celebrities and influencers descended upon Atlanta's Rialto Arts Centre to witness the significant moment. Among the constellation of stars that attended the event on November 8 was Queen of Dancehall Spice.

The prominent singjay was spotted strutting her stuff on the red carpet and gracing the press with photos of her fashionable outfit.

Spice, born Grace Hamilton, modelled a blue coat over a bodysuit that she rocked with a large black and gold belt. A gold chain was draped around her neck, her blue hair was let down, and knee-high blue boots completed her look.

Keke Palmer, Ex's Domestic Abuse Caught on Video; She Files for Full Custody of Son and a Restraining Order

American actress and singer, Keke Palmer, has reportedly filed for full custody of her son, Leodis, following allegations of domestic abuse during her two-year relationship with ex-boyfriend, Darius Jackson. Scenes from the alleged domestic abuse have also surfaced online.

According to reports, Palmer filed the petition in a California Superior Court where the details of the alleged abuse were disclosed. She also filed for a temporary restraining order requesting that Jackson stay at least 100 yards away from her and be denied access to their son.

In the court document, Palmer claims that the most recent abuse happened on Sunday, stating that, “Darius trespassed into my home without my knowledge or consent, threatened me, then physically attacked me — lunging for my neck, striking me, throwing me over the couch, and stealing my phone when I told him I was going to call the police.”

Another request from Palmer is for the court to prevent her ex-boyfriend from being able to harass or make statements about her, her family, or their son online. She also asks for him to complete a 52-week batterer intervention program.

The "Akeelah and the Bee" actress also expressed concerns for her and her son's safety, noting that Jackson is, "violent, volatile, and jealous," whilst claiming that instances of these have occurred in the presence of their son.

"Leo is the most important thing in the entire world to me; he needs and deserves to be safe and grow up in an environment free from violence," Palmer wrote in a declaration.

It is alleged that the relationship between the two ended when Palmer danced with American singer Usher in July at his concert. Jackson publicly called her out by tweeting, “You're a Mom" after she was serenaded on stage by the entertainer.

Masicka Seemingly Announces December 1st Album Release Date

Genna Syde supporters are left at the edge of their seats, bubbling with excitement after dancehall artiste Masicka seemingly hinted that his highly anticipated album would be released in December.

Masicka's sophomore album was revealed to be completed earlier this year, but the deejay kept his fans eagerly waiting without even an announced release date until presumably today.

The deejay shared a clip of his Limelight music video on his social media page Friday morning, with the highlighted date of December 1. The message also included a line from his song, while the video depicted him getting dressed after rolling out of bed.

The special shots in the footage that could not be missed were Masicka's Billboard plaque for his debut album, 438, and the Gold Plaque for his 2020 feature on German rapper Bonez MC's Big Body Benz.

Javaun 'Masicka' Fearon's reputation as a multifaceted artist with remarkable songwriting capabilities and a strong voice also adds to the high expectations of fans.

Especially considering the fact that 438, which was released on December 3, 2021, sold 2,864 equivalent album units in its first week and peaked at No. 2 on the Billboard Reggae Albums chart.

According to DancehallMag, the album was the third-best-selling project released by a Jamaican in 2022, selling 20,000 units in the US and generating $30,400,000 in revenue from audio and video streaming. It had moved 35,000 units in the US as of January 2023.
