A'mari Says Gully Bop's Death Hit Her Soul, Fans React by Dragging Her

Following the news of Robert "Gully Bop" Malcolm's passing, Dancehall artiste A'mari reflected on their time together and shared how the death has impacted her.

News of Gully Bop's death hit the internet Tuesday morning. The details surrounding his passing did not disclose the cause of death, but it was noted that the 59-year-old deejay, who has been struggling with health issues for quite some time, was admitted at the Kingston Public Hospital (KPH).

A'mari, Gully Bop's former girlfriend, took to social media with a video of herself sharing that his untimely death hit her soul.

"Feel it hit my soul right here, you know," she said, touching where her heart is.

Interviews she did with Gully Bob when they were dating were posted to Instagram, during which she professed her love for him and referred to him as her fiancée.

She also shared the Cheater Girls music video they shot together and a couple's photo. The picture was captioned, "I will always love you!"

However, her posts were met with angry comments from internet users, who instantly started to bash her for her actions in the past. Gully Bop had reached out to the public on multiple occasions for help as he struggled, and social media personality Aunty Donna had called on A'mari and Shauna Controlla (another ex-girlfriend) to assist him.

Following this, A'mari went on a rant, and now, internet users are dragging her for how she reacted. Some are saying she should've aided the deejay instead of showing love now.

One social media user said, "And u Neva wah help him kmt stop use the word love cause it have a big meaning behind it kmt," and another wrote, "You should be ashamed to post this picture when he cry out for help u turn your back and hun smh."

Dancehall artiste Sean Paul is at the centre of one of the many earthquake videos circulating the media. The Temperature hitmaker was in the middle of an interview when the earthquake struck Jamaica on Monday morning.

Despite the ongoing virtual interview, Sean Paul wasted no time in fleeing the area.

Many videos are making rounds online at the moment, notably, Cliff Hughes while on his live online radio and The Mitchells while they were in the process of creating a family video, however, Sean Paul's footage, in particular, has caught the attention of many online users and blogs, with people relating to his shock as well as laughing at his "smooth" exit.

The video depicted Sean Paul seated in a room, speaking to two men through a virtual interview. When he started to respond to a statement one of the men made, he felt the earthquake and looked about the room while saying, "Oh sh*t, we're having a earthquake."

When the earthquake became harder, Sean Paul blurted an expletive and ran away. Shortly after, his camera was disconnected from the interview.

3-Story House Transforms Into 2-Story After Earthquake in Jamaica

The earthquake on Monday morning caused much infrastructural damage across the island, as well as damage to store products. The estimated 5.6-magnitude earthquake also destroyed the ground floor of a three-story house in the Content community of Hope Bay in Portland.

The epicentre of the earthquake was reported to be approximately 10km south of Buff Bay, Portland, according to the Earthquake Unit at the University of the West Indies.

The earthquake's aftermath was shared on social media, depicting the completely flattened ground floor of the three-story structure, while the stories above remained primarily intact with cracks and broken concrete.

The footage showed the extent of the damage from the outside, showing grills and windows lying among the debris, along with visible pipes along the broken walls.

Another home was also massively destroyed when one wall completely collapsed. The picture of this small home, which was built on a hill, was shared online with the note that the house is located close to Portland.

Rita, Cedella and Damian Marley in Jamaica

The Marley family had a little family reunion, with the wife of reggae legend Bob Marley, Rita Marley, and his children Cedella Marley, Damian Marley linking up in Jamaica.

The Marleys posed for a few pictures during their meet-up in Montego Bay, with Cedella, the CEO of Bob Marley Group of Companies, sharing a few of the photos.

Posing beside her mom, Rita, who wore a royal blue chiffon kafton, Cedella, who is also an ambassador for the Jamaica Reggae Girlz, rocked a purple Maria Lucia Hoan Elaine silk dress.
