Reggae Boyz defender Michael Hector could be getting his first taste of life in the English Premier with reports emerging that Chelsea are looking at recall him early from his season-long loan at Championship club Reading.
As part of the £4 million switch which took the centre-back to Stamford Bridge on deadline day, the Premier League champions allowed Hector to return to Madejski Stadium for the remainder of the season.
But now it appears that Jose Mourinho wants the 23-year-old to link up with his squad in January.

Speaking recently about the situation, Reading coach Steve Clarke said he hoped Hector would remain at Reading for the season, admitted it was a possibility that the West London club could take him to the Bridge earlier than that.
He said: It’s not something that I’ve discussed with anybody but I imagine that Chelsea would be able to recall him in the January window.
“It’s par for the course that any team who does a season long loan always has a recall in January.
“But I want Michael to stay for the full season which is something that Chelsea said they would allow us to do.”
Reading are currently 7th on the Championship table.
Having arrived back late in the summer from representing Jamaica at the Copa America and the Gold Cup, Hector struggled for form and fell behind Anton Ferdinand in the pecking order after a couple of costly errors.
But, with Ferdinand now injured, Hector has started the past three games and has looked in imperious form, much to the delight of Clarke who said “He’s back to the level that tempted a couple of Premier League clubs to bid £4 million for him.”
