Despite his winless streak since becoming head coach of Jamaica, Heimir Hallgrimsson seems unbothered by not picking up the win against a weakened US men's team. The coach admitted that their pre-game plan had a point as a good enough result.
"I know this game would be tricky but am really glad we came out of it without injuries, and I know we will grow as we go in the competition, so am quite Happy am quite happy in the end, tomorrow I think I will be more happy than now," Hallgrimsson revealed.
However, seeing how the match played out, Hallgrimsson stated in his post-match conference that he was disappointed with the dropped points.
The coach also had an issue with the Reggae Boyz not getting a second goal to take full control of the game. "With 2-0, the game would have been totally, totally different. Instead, it was always this one goal, then you start slowly to protect that 1-0 advantage and like I said, probably it was more energy at this stage in the tournament," Hallgrimsson outlined.

Hallgrimsson said he was pleased with how his team approached the game when he was asked about his game plan for the US, which worked up until the 89th minute when the Americans grabbed an equalizer.
