Soothing cultural music will fill the grounds of Skyline Levels on April 28 when reggae artistes Yaksta, Yaadcore, and Joby Jay grace the stage of Thank Jah Is Friday.
Headliner Yaksta will be belting out songs from his debut album 22, which was released earlier this year. Patrons will see the Super Human singer at 6 Skyline Drive in Jacks Hill, Kingston, where the event is slated to begin at 9:00 p.m., with gates opening at 7:00 p.m.
Yaksta, who won the 2022 Jamaica and Reggae Industry Association (JARIA) award for his 2021 hit single Ambition, is currently promoting the music video for his song Whine, housed on his album. The songs featured on his album have been approved by fans for their undeniable grooviness.
Additionally, listeners will be captivated by the "soulful" tunes in Joby Jay's new Love Level album. The Big Girl Ting hit singer will be the opening act of the event, performing songs from her debut album, released on April 14.
Rastafarian Yaadcore, the third performer on the lineup, marks his return to Jamaica with his first performance on the island since his recent tour in France. The musician, who is celebrating the first anniversary of his debut album Reggaeland, is currently a prospective Grammy nominee for said album. His new EP Treesonable has peaked at No. 1 on the iTunes Reggae Albums chart in Russia.
