As reported by numerous news outlets, New Iberia Police confirmed the manager at the Arby's on East Admiral Doyle Drive was found dead under "suspicious" circumstances on Thursday. Around 6:20 p.m., the woman's body was discovered inside the restaurant's walk-in freezer.
In spite of the fact that police called the death suspicious initially. New Iberia Police Capt. Leland Laseter told reporters that he believes the death could have been accidental. "After completely processing the crime scene, this does not seem like a homicide; it seems like an accident," Captain Laseter revealed.

The police Captain went on to confirm that investigations were still ongoing, and there was no clear sign of what caused the death of the female. "We're going to re-examine all the evidence ... and they're going to conduct an autopsy to give us the cause and manner of death, Laseter said.
