Usain Bolt is unhappy with the fake news of money to be paid out to SSL victims, on Monday he decided to share cryptic messages, all of which seemingly relate to the same topic. First, he randomly tweeted “Fake News”, which prompted reactions like “What?” and “Even the honorable Usain knows the JAIL-P are a bunch of cr00ks.”
He next said, "Time longer than rope… remember that." which promoted reactions such as "What kinda quote is this?" And, "This feels shady."
Then Bolt shared a more detailed statement, saying, "They banking on the country youth love for his country.. but ask yourself do they love their country or themselves." That statement which was more telling than the previous two prompted more colourful reactions.
A female reacted by saying, "The man want him money all of it." Another person said, "You have repeatedly demonstrated your love for Jamaica. I dare say you have done more for Jamaica (both on and off the track) than all of them combined. Do what's best for you and your family. We, the idiot people, know the truth. Stand firm Usain. God nah sleep."
The message was also shared on Instagram where selector Tony Matterhorn commented, "Stand up for what u believe in👍🏾justice will prevail."
This new outburst from the sprinting legend is a reminder that he is still 'stressed' about losing big time, something he is not used to doing, at least throughout his track career. As announced in early 2023, Bolt and other investors fell victim to the investment fraud at SSL (Stocks and Securities Limited).

As per reports, the trusted institution was steeped in a fraud scheme that was later revealed to surpass USD$30M with over 200 client accounts affected by the fraud.
Months ago, on January 11, 2024, Bolt also took to social media to mention that it has been a year since he lost a substantial amount of his investment fund, however, he outlined that he's holding firm, “One year ago today but just know me still a hold firm 💪🏾.”
On Monday, September 30, 2024, Bolt shared arguably his most successful musical endeavour to date, a song that was released months prior to the SSL revelation. The song highlights issues he and NJ have with leaders at the top and the affairs of the island.
