The Reggae Boyz took on Nicaragua Thursday night in their latest 2024–25 Concacaf Nations League encounter at Nicaragua National Football Stadium. The match which kicked off at 9 PM Jamaica time ended 2-0 in favour of the Jamaicans.
Nicaraguan player Josué Quijano scored an own goal in the 32nd minute to send Jamaica into the lead off a cross from Bobby De Cordova-Reid.
The first half ended with Jamaica having 55% of the possession to Nicaragua's 45%. While Jamaica led the match, Nicaragua had 6 shots(5 on target) to Jamaica's 2 shots(1 one on target).

Jamaica went 2 goals up in the 79th minute via a top-in from Romario Williams.
The Central American team came close to scoring in the 87th minute but was denied by a double save from the caption of the Reggae Boyz Andre Blake.

This was the third match between the two teams in recent history. Jamaica has now won 2 of the three matches while Nicaragua won the other game.
This is Steve Maclaren’s 3rd match in charge of the Reggae Boyz, he has won two of the three matches.
Jamaica's next match will be against Honduras on Monday, October 14.
With this win, Jamaica sits at the top of Group B table in the Concacaf Nations League.
