The recent assassination of President Jovenel Moïse in July 2021 has plunged Haiti into deeper uncertainty and turmoil, leaving a power vacuum and heightening tensions across the nation.
After Moïse's assassination and the resignation of Prime Minister Claude Joseph, Ariel Henry has been the Prime Minister of Haiti, assuming office on July 20, 2021.
Currently, Ariel Henry is unable to re-enter Haiti after a trip overseas to gather international help for the crisis back home.
