In one of the most unexpected collaborations for 2023, Vybz Kartel finally released a track with ex-Gaza Member Popcaan after over a decade of bad blood between the two artistes.
The highly anticipated collab dubbed Dull Colour sees both entertainers conversing about social issues facing the Jamaican population. As expected, Popcaan delivered the melodies to the track. "Ah Ah Ah Nobody doh waa live poor ah ah ah," Popcaan sang.
Vybz Kartel complimented Popcaan's flawless melody by deejaying some hard-hitting lyrics, "dem stress yah deh all island but a stress still mek all diamond youth dem waa help politicians care less police a kill dem, dem sit round dem desk," he deejayed.
Popcaan also added to the same verse by singing, "Innocent, innocent life tun heartless gunman overnight how the f_ck that tek place pon yuh watch society nah do we right."
Following the release of this song on Vybz Kartel's Youtube channel, this makes it the fifth time that both artistes have appeared on the same song over the course of their careers.
However, it is unclear when this track was recorded and put together, given the present status of Vybz Kartel, who has been living behind bars for over a decade now.
