Footage of a doctor mistreating a patient during a very sensitive situation is circulating online after an elderly woman was rendered blinded in her left eye.
The short video footage of the incident showed the patient prepped and ready for surgery and with her doctor standing over her.
The male surgeon (said to be Chinese) was then seen punching the woman, 82 years of age, in her eye three times and when she tried to defend herself, her hands were held by another doctor who seemed to be on standby.
It is alleged that the patient was punched because she would not stay still during the optical procedure. Afterwards, it was stated that the result was blindness in her left eye.
The audio in the video was not English translated so it is unclear what was being said at the time of the incident.
