Jamaicas Reggae Boyz came from behind to score a 2-1 win over Venezuela here inside the Montego Bay Sports Complex earlier this evening.
Wing defender Gabriel Cichero gave the visitors the lead with a well taken goal on 13 minutes only for debutante Giles Barnes to pull the hosts level two minutes later.
Darren Mattocks then hit the winner on the hour mark after midfielder Je-Vaugh Watson had done great work to force an error in defence.
The win was only the second for Jamaica against the South Americans in six meetings, having suffered three losses.
Jamaica will now turn their attention to Monday next when they take on Caribbean neighbours Cuba in another international friendly as they prepare for the Copa America in Chile in June, as well as the CONCACAF Gold Cup in the United States in July.
