Ronaldo Earns Portugal 2-1 Win Vs Ghana, Both Out by wochit
Cristiano Ronaldo’s late winner wasn’t enough to send Portugal through to the World Cup last-16 as they crashed out alongside Ghana in Brasilia.
The Real Madrid star was thwarted three times by Fatau Dauda – saves that effectively knocked Paulo Bento’s side out. Had those flown in, they may have joined Germany in extending their tournament beyond the group stage.
Asamoah Gyan had earlier equalised for the Black Stars after John Boye’s comical own goal.
