The expected appearance of six-time Olympic champion Usian Bolt at today’s Camperdown Classic at the National Stadium is unlikely to happen, according to STAR Sports sources.
Several other leading athletes from Usain Bolt’s Racers Track Club will be in action at the event which gets underway with the women’s open 400 metres hurdles.
Edino Steele, who started his campaign in the 800m at the Queen’s Grace Jackson meet, RistanannaTracy in the 800m, and Kerron Stewart in the 400m will compete.

Calabar’s Christopher Taylor, whose breathtaking 46.87 second in the class two boys 400m at the Youngster Goldsmith meet set tongues wagging, could even go lower today.
His teammate, Michael O’Hara, is the leader in the Under-19 Boy’s 100m after winning the class one event a week ago in 10.33.
Among the females, Immaculate’s Jeanine Williams, the leader in the girl’s Under-19 category after her eighth-place finish in the 100m, will be hoping to go much faster to cement that lead.

In the Under-17 category, Alpha’s Kiara Grant, who was second in the class three 100m in 12.05 seconds, is the leader.
Edwin Allen’s Saqukine Cameron and Dawnalee Loney are leaders in the 400m.
Other events include the highschool championships 4x100m for class one male and femaleteams. The winning team will receive $60,000, with $25,000 and $15,000 going to second and third place, respectively.
St Jago, led by Natalliah Whyte and Shanice Reid, are favourites to win the girl’s event, while the star- studded Calabar team, led by O’Hara, are favoured to walk away with the boy’s title.
Other events on the schedule include 400m hurdles open male and female, 800m classes one to three male and female, 100m all classes male and female, 1500m class three boys and class two girls, 400m club male and female, 4x100m relay all classes, male and female, and 4x400m open.
