54-year-old Hip-hop mogul Sean "Diddy" Combs was arrested on Monday in New York City on federal charges, following months of scrutiny and multiple raids on his properties.
Combs was taken into custody in Manhattan on September 16, though the arrest was initially planned for Tuesday, September 17. The charges, which remain unspecified, are part of an ongoing criminal investigation.
Marc Agnifilo, Combs' attorney, expressed disappointment in the arrest, asserting that his client is "an innocent man" and plans to fight the charges.
Federal authorities had previously raided Combs' properties in Los Angeles and Miami as part of the investigation, which is believed to be linked to allegations of sex trafficking and other serious offences.
As per sources, the arrest and charges were expected by Diddy, but he did not know when hence he recently relocated.
Just days ago a video surfaced of the mogul mingling with some people at an outside location.
Diddy is expected to appear in court within the next 48 hours to answer the charges.
