West Ham United striker and Jamaican international Michail Antonio was involved in a road traffic accident on Saturday morning, the club confirmed in a statement. The 34-year-old Reggae Boy’s condition remains unclear, with no details yet on the severity of the incident or whether others were injured.
The club’s statement read, “The thoughts and prayers of everyone at the Club are with Michail, his family and friends at this time. The Club will issue an update in due course.”

This incident echoes a similar event in December 2019 when Antonio crashed his Lamborghini Huracan into a road sign on Christmas Day. Fortunately, no one was injured in that crash, which Antonio attributed to slippery road conditions.
Antonio’s current status raises questions about his availability for West Ham’s upcoming Premier League clash against Wolves on Monday as supporters await further updates.
Weeks ago, in November, Antonio missed Jamaica's match against the United States due to passport complications. He recounted being stranded in Ghana, stating, “I needed a visa with the passport, so I got stuck in Ghana for another two or three days. I got an emergency passport just to get back to the UK.”
