Mother Talks on 15YO Son’s Fatal Stabbing at Irwin High

The mother of 15-year-old Irwin High School student Raniel Plummer has expressed that she's struggling to cope with her son's passing. According to reports, Raniel was confronted by a student with whom he had an earlier altercation, along with a group of boys, outside the school gate.



During the confrontation, Raniel was stabbed in the chest with a knife, resulting in his death despite efforts to treat him in hospital. The details of the incident highlight the devastating impact of violence among students locally.



Reacting to the death of her son, Plummer's mother stated, "I don't know how i'ma gonna live without my son, mi nuh know how mi ago manage without mi son inna this yah house yah... is like mi heart come out a mi body when the doctor tell mi seh them couldn't save him."

She went on to detail to the TVJ News reporter that she was told by the doctor that the knife went "deep" into Raniel's heart. A video is now circulating online allegedly of the incident.
