Jamaican Motion Picture “Destiny” Comes to the USA, Starring Christopher Martin, Spice, and More
A breath of fresh air! That’s the phrase that best describes Jeremy Whittaker’s breakout film, Destiny. The film now holds the record of the “Longest running film at the Box Office in Jamaican history.” The film features a host of local talent, and boasts a captivating story line and a dynamic soundtrack.
The film, chronicles the story of Lisa Pullen, played by lead actress Karian Sang, as she journeys to find herself following the death of her parents and a tumultuous break-up with her boyfriend. A trip to Jamaica to sell land acquired through inheritance leads to much more, as Lisa not only uncovers truths about her family’s past, but also finds herself while falling in love. Destiny masterfully and artistically portrays Jamaican culture and music.
Destiny features Christopher Martin, comedian Ian ‘Ity’ Ellis and female entertainer Spice. Destiny is one of those must-see films. No violence, no bloodshed, just clean, fun, wholesome entertainment.

Jam Down - Toots Hibbert and The Congos [Short Film]
Found Tapes is a weekly show that highlights some of the rarest, weirdest, and sometimes just really cool videos that people send to us. This week, we’re heading to Jamaica.
Specifically, to Kingston, to catch up with a young Frederick Nathaniel “Toots” Hibbert of Toots & the Maytals acclaim and cult reggae group The Congos in the flesh. Directed by Emmanuel Bonn and Thiery Deknut, Jam Down actually contains some of the only known early footage of The Congos, performing tracks from their classic roots reggae album Heart Of The Congos, which was produced by Lee Perry at the height of their career at the famed Black Ark studios.
Jam Down originally saw a limited release in France back in 1981, and has since resurfaced as one of reggae’s most revered lost artifacts—”the holy grail of reggae films,” as it’s known. We’ve got it cued up right here for you, though, so sit back and bear witness to some of the most electrifying, raw reggae performances ever captured.

watch CAPTURELAND. A short film by Nabil Elderkin inspired by the words of the late Nelson Mandela, and the song ‘Capture Land’ by Jamaican artist Chronixx. Captureland was shot in early November 2014 in the very welcoming and historic community or Port Royal, Kingston – Jamaica.
Presented by Montblanc, Capture Land was made as part of The Power of Words series. In partnership with the Tribeca Film Institute and the Nelson Mandela Foundation, this initiative inspires filmmakers to explore the written legacy of influential figures as a source of story and using film as a tool of education. In its inaugural year, the series will look at the teachings and writings of Nelson Mandela as inspiration for story.

A talented and aspiring young man named Singy who grew up in a violent prone community, his desires were to pursue music and make it his profession, but while he was on his way to stardom a devastated war broke out in his neighborhood with some of his childhood friends (the Bangers), and some other men just around the corner that called themselves the ‘Mafia Gang’, but because of Singy’s relationship with the Bangers he was seen as a major enemy through the eyes of the enemies of his friends who pursued to make him a memory, but to become a successful artiste in the music industry was the only thing on Singy”s mind until they tried to assassinate him, and gave him another OPTION.
